If you are an animal lover you may also want to check out the RSPCA’s Petarazzi photography exhibition, on display at Australia Zoo until November 22. The incredible exhibition captures 38 life-size images of famous Australians and their pets. Talented and successful Australians such as Bob Hawke, Greg Norman, General Peter Cosgrove, Cathy Freeman, Craig Lawndes, Naomi Watts, Jodhi Packer and of course our very own committed animal lover – Steve Irwin agreed to capture in a series of candid poses with a menagerie of animal friends including horses, dogs, sheep, chickens, dolphins and snakes.

For the past year, photographer James Morgan has travel throughout Australia and the world, capturing intimate images of high profile Australians and the animals that share their lives.

The result is a series of fun and quirky life-size portraits that reveal who are the real objects of affection in our celebrities’ loves. Despite the fun approach to the exhibition the RSPCA is also keen to underline the serious message that accompanies the exhibition. National President of RSPCA Australia, Dr Hugh Wirth said that he hopes the exhibition will encourage people to take better care of the animals that share our lives. The 38 Petarazzi images will be auctioned to raise funds for the RSPCA and each extraordinary photograph is approximately 160cm x 105cm. There will only be one of each of these special photographs offered to the public accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the photographer.

To view and bid for the portraits go to www.eBay.com.au and click on the RSPCA link.
