Australia Zoo was opened to Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics and triple zero communication officers last Sunday to celebrate the start of Ambulance Week 2005. The Zoo's gates are being opened to Ambulance Officers to acknowledge the important work that they do.

The QAS Family Fun Day coincides with the first weekend of the Queensland school holidays. The Zoo hosted QAS information stands throughout the day, which included CPR demonstrations, an ambulance scenario and paramedic equipment displays.
