Imagine getting up close and personal with our gorgeous Asian Elephants! You will certainly appreciate the size of these awesome animals as you are personally introduced to Siam, Sabu and Bimbo. You will be escorted by an experienced tour guide who will share amazing facts about our gorgeous girls.

All proceeds from the encounter go directly to our Conservation Program, saving Asian Elephants in the wild.

One of our professional photographers will capture this special moment and as a part of the experience you will receive a photo package worth over $80.00.

Package Details

Timing and Days

• One Elephant encounter is held daily.
• Encounters run from 11.00am - 12.00pm. Participants meet at the Information & Tour Desk 10 minutes prior to encounter.

Price and Guest Limit

• $145.00 per person (does not include admission). Admission can be paid on arrival at the Zoo.
• Minimum age 8 years (all children 8-14yrs must be accompanied by a paying adult).
• Maximum of 4 people per encounter.

• Australia Zoo reserves the right to cancel the encounter due to any animal welfare or staffing issues. A full refund will be given.

Terms and Conditions

1. Elephant Encounters are available to participants who are 8 years of age and above only. All children 8-14yrs must be accompanied by a paying adult.
2. Sensible footwear must be worn during the encounter.
3. Participants must agree to follow all instructions given by the handlers.
4. Participants may be asked to cease the encounter at any time for whatever reason at the handler’s discretion.
5. No personal items or food are permitted during the encounter with the exception of cameras.
6. Daily interaction with the Elephants may vary.
7. Australia Zoo does not take any responsibility for any injuries that are received. First Aid will be called if required.
8. An Australia Zoo photographer will be present during the encounter to capture the action. Photos taken will be available to be viewed at the Fuji Photography lab 30 minutes after the encounter. Six photos of your choice are included in the package. Any extra photos are available to be purchased.
9. The Elephant Encounter may be cancelled if the weather is bad and a refund given.
